1:18. വ്യർത്ഥവും പിതൃപാരമ്പര്യവുമായുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ നടപ്പിൽനിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ വീണ്ടെടു ത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി മുതലായ അഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്ന വസ്തുക്കളെക്കൊണ്ടല്ല,

1:18. You know that from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors you were ransomed— not by perishable things like silver or gold,

1:18. For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver.
